Anti-AOM antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target AOM is a known alias name of the protein collagen type II alpha 1 chain, encoded by the COL2A1 gene in humans. This 1487-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cartilage development and nervous system development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features O-glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the cartilage and eye. Other synonyms for AOM include ANFH and COL11A3. Western Blot is a widely used application for the AOM antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
