Anti-FHOD4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FHOD4 is a known alias name of the protein formin like 1, encoded by the FMNL1 gene in humans. This 1100-amino acid residue protein is believed to play a role in the control of cell motility and survival of macrophages (By similarity). It is localized to the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell and features myristoylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed in the heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Other synonyms for FHOD4 include C17orf1 and C17orf1B.
