Anti-ERC55 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ERC55 is a known alias name of the protein reticulocalbin 2, encoded by the RCN2 gene in humans. This 317-amino acid residue protein is a member of the CREC protein family. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The term E6BP is another synonym for ERC55.
