Anti-CNC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CNC is a known alias name of the protein protein kinase cAMP-dependent type I regulatory subunit alpha, encoded by the PRKAR1A gene in humans. This 381-amino acid residue protein is a regulatory subunit of the cAMP-dependent protein kinases involved in cAMP signaling in cells. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex, tonsil, and adrenal gland.
