Anti-CIRL1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CIRL1 is a known alias name of the protein adhesion G protein-coupled receptor L1, encoded by the ADGRL1 gene in humans. This 1474-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a calcium-independent receptor of high affinity for alpha-latrotoxin, an excitatory neurotoxin present in black widow spider venom which triggers massive exocytosis from neurons and neuroendocrine cells. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for CIRL1 include CL1 and DEDBANP.
