Anti-FIBP-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FIBP-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FIBP gene, which encodes FGF1 intracellular binding protein. This protein is suspected to be involved in mitogenic function of FGF1. The human version of FIBP-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 364 residues and a protein mass of 41.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include FGFIBP and TROFAS. Indicated applications for FIBP-1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
