Anti-FCRL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FCRL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FCRLA gene, which encodes Fc receptor like A. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation and receptor-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of FCRL has a canonical amino acid length of 359 residues and a protein mass of 38.9 kilodaltons, although 15 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, and appendix. FCRL is also used as a cellular marker for characterizing microglia.
