Anti-F-LANa antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target F-LANa is a known alias name of the protein derlin 2, encoded by the DERL2 gene in humans. This 239-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a functional component of endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) for misfolded lumenal glycoproteins, but not that of misfolded nonglycoproteins. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
