Anti-ESEL antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The ESEL antigen is another term for the human protein selectin E, encoded by the SELE gene. The protein is known to function in inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 610 residues and a mass of 66.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in the bone marrow and colon. The ESEL protein is a member of the Selectin/LECAM protein family. Other alias names for ESEL include CD62E, ELAM, and ELAM1. Some ESEL antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
