Anti-DLP4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DLP4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DLGAP4 gene, which encodes DLG associated protein 4. This protein is believed to play a role in the molecular organization of synapses and neuronal cell signaling. The human version of DLP4 has a canonical amino acid length of 992 residues and a protein mass of 108 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DAP-4 and DAP4.
