Anti-CYC4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CYC4 is a known alias name of the protein peptidylprolyl isomerase like 2, encoded by the PPIL2 gene in humans. This 520-amino acid residue protein is known to have a ubiquitin-protein ligase activity acting as an E3 ubiquitin protein ligase or as an ubiquitin-ubiquitin ligase promoting elongation of ubiquitin chains on substrates. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in thymus, pancreas and testis. Other synonyms for CYC4 include CYP60 and Cyp-60.
