Anti-CLPSL2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein colipase like 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 100 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.8 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the prostate, parathyroid gland, epididymis, cerebellum, and adrenal gland. A member of the Colipase protein family, CLPSL2 is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include colipase-like protein 2 and colipase-like protein C6orf126. CLPSL2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
