Anti-CL-20 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CL-20 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EMP1 gene, which encodes epithelial membrane protein 1. This protein is known to function in epidermis development, among other biological roles. The human version of CL-20 has a canonical amino acid length of 157 residues and a protein mass of 17.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells. Other names for this target antigen include TMP and tumor-associated membrane protein.
