Anti-CELF antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CELF antigen is another term for the human protein CCAAT enhancer binding protein delta, encoded by the CEBPD gene. The protein is reported to be a transcription activator that recognizes two different DNA motifs: the CCAAT homology common to many promoters and the enhanced core homology common to many enhancers. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 269 residues and a mass of 28.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. The CELF protein is a member of the BZIP protein family. Other alias names for CELF include C/EBP-delta and CRP3. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CELF antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
