Anti-DHHC8 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The DHHC8 antigen is another term for the human protein zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase 8, encoded by the ZDHHC8 gene. The protein is a reported palmitoyltransferase that catalyzes the addition of palmitate onto various protein substrates and therefore functions in several unrelated biological processes (Probable). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 765 residues and a mass of 81.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and Golgi and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The DHHC8 protein is a member of the DHHC palmitoyltransferase protein family. Other alias names for DHHC8 include ZDHHCL1. Indicated applications for DHHC8 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
