Anti-CEN2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CEN2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CETN2 gene, which encodes centrin 2. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of CEN2 has a canonical amino acid length of 172 residues and a protein mass of 19.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CALT and caltractin (20kD calcium-binding protein). Western Blot is the most common application for the CEN2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
