Anti-CASM antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CASM is a known alias name of the protein LSM1 homolog, mRNA degradation associated, encoded by the LSM1 gene in humans. This 133-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in the degradation of histone mRNAs, the only eukaryotic mRNAs that are not polyadenylated. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. Other synonyms for CASM include YJL124C and U6 snRNA-associated Sm-like protein LSm1. Indicated applications for CASM antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
