Anti-C4ST3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the C4ST3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CHST13 gene, which encodes carbohydrate sulfotransferase 13. This protein is known to catalyze the transfer of sulfate to position 4 of the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residue of chondroitin. The human version of C4ST3 has a canonical amino acid length of 341 residues and a protein mass of 38.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. This target antigen may also be known as carbohydrate (chondroitin 4) sulfotransferase 13.
