Anti-ECL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ECL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CCL21 gene, which encodes C-C motif chemokine ligand 21. This protein is known to function in GTPase activation and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. The human version of ECL has a canonical amino acid length of 134 residues and a protein mass of 14.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the vagina, tonsil, spleen, and smooth muscle. Other names for this target antigen include 6Ckine and CKb9. Western Blot is the most common application for the ECL antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
