Anti-EC2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EC2 is a known alias name of the protein transcription factor 15, encoded by the TCF15 gene in humans. This 199-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of cell differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the testis. The term PARAXIS is another synonym for EC2.
