Anti-CGT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CGT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UGT8 gene, which encodes UDP glycosyltransferase 8. This protein is known to function in nervous system development and cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. The human version of CGT has a canonical amino acid length of 541 residues and a protein mass of 61.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER and membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. CGT is a member of the UDP-glycosyltransferase protein family. Indicated applications for CGT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
