Anti-CDG-Ij antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CDG-Ij is a known alias name of the protein dolichyl-phosphate N-acetylglucosaminephosphotransferase 1, encoded by the DPAGT1 gene in humans. This 408-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the initial step of dolichol-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis in N-linked protein glycosylation pathway: transfers GlcNAc-1-P from UDP-GlcNAc onto the carrier lipid dolichyl phosphate (P-dolichol), yielding GlcNAc-P-P-dolichol. It is localized to the ER of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for CDG-Ij include ALG7, ALG7, and CDG-Ij. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CDG-Ij antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
