Anti-C3-C5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target C3-C5 is a known alias name of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 1, encoded by the ADAMTS1 gene in humans. This 967-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in extracellular matrix organization and kidney development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. The term C3-C5 is another synonym for C3-C5. Indicated applications for C3-C5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
