Anti-DCE antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DCE antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DHCR24 gene, which encodes 24-dehydrocholesterol reductase. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of DCE has a canonical amino acid length of 516 residues and a protein mass of 60.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER and Golgi of cells and notably expressed in the skin, liver, kidney, cerebral cortex, and adrenal gland. This target antigen may also be known as Nbla03646. Indicated applications for DCE antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
