Anti-Cug2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Cug2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CENPW gene, which encodes centromere protein W. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of Cug2 has a canonical amino acid length of 88 residues and a protein mass of 10.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. Cug2 is a member of the CENP-W/WIP1 protein family.
