Anti-B56A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target B56A is a known alias name of the protein protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B'alpha, encoded by the PPP2R5A gene in humans. This 486-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein dephosphorylation and signal transduction pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with the highest expression in the heart and skeletal muscle. Other synonyms for B56A include B56alpha and PR61A. Western Blot is the most common application for the B56A antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
