Anti-BRF antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BRF antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BRF1 gene, which encodes BRF1 RNA polymerase III transcription initiation factor subunit. This protein is reported to be a general activator of RNA polymerase which utilizes different TFIIIB complexes at structurally distinct promoters. The human version of BRF has a canonical amino acid length of 677 residues and a protein mass of 73.8 kilodaltons, although 9 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as CFDS.
