Anti-BAL1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BAL1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PARP9 gene, which encodes poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase family member 9. This protein is known to function in cell migration and viral immune response, among other biological roles. The human version of BAL1 has a canonical amino acid length of 854 residues and a protein mass of 96.3 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells. BAL1 is a member of the ARTD/PARP protein family.
