Anti-BAF45b antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BAF45b is a known alias name of the protein double PHD fingers 1, encoded by the DPF1 gene in humans. This 387-amino acid residue protein is believed to have an important role in developing neurons by participating in regulation of cell survival, possibly as a neurospecific transcription factor. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate.
