Anti-B8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target B8 is a known alias name of the protein NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit A2, encoded by the NDUFA2 gene in humans. This 99-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an accessory subunit the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed not to be involved in catalysis. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term CD14 is another synonym for B8. Indicated applications for B8 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
