Anti-ATS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ATS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the COL4A5 gene, which encodes collagen type IV alpha 5 chain. This protein is known to function in extracellular matrix organization, among other biological roles. The human version of ATS has a canonical amino acid length of 1685 residues and a protein mass of 161 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells. ATS is a member of the Type IV collagen protein family.
