Anti-ASAL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ASAL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ASL gene, which encodes argininosuccinate lyase. This protein is known to function in post-embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of ASAL has a canonical amino acid length of 464 residues and a protein mass of 51.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in the liver, kidney, gallbladder, and endometrium. ASAL is a member of the Lyase 1 protein family. Indicated applications for ASAL antibodies listed below include Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
