Anti-ALDL1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The ALDL1 antigen is another term for the human protein ATP binding cassette subfamily D member 2, encoded by the ABCD2 gene. The protein is reported to be an aTP-dependent transporter of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family involved in the transport of very long chain fatty acid (VLCFA)-CoA from the cytosol to the peroxisome lumen. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 740 residues and a mass of 83.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes and it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and heart. The ALDL1 protein is a member of the ABCD protein family. Other alias names for ALDL1 include ABC39 and ALDR. Indicated applications for ALDL1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
