Anti-FDH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FDH is a known alias name of the protein aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member L1, encoded by the ALDH1L1 gene in humans. This 902-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, pancreas and kidney.
