Anti-EL1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EL1 is a known alias name of the protein erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1, encoded by the EPB41 gene in humans. This 864-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization and the cell cycle, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features O-glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for EL1 include 4.1R and HE. Western Blot is the most common application for the EL1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
