Anti-DP8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DP8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DPP8 gene, which encodes dipeptidyl peptidase 8. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and immune response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of DP8 has a canonical amino acid length of 898 residues and a protein mass of 103.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. DP8 is a member of the Peptidase S9B protein family.
