Anti-DLM-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DLM-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ZBP1 gene, which encodes Z-DNA binding protein 1. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response, among other biological roles. The human version of DLM-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 429 residues and a protein mass of 46.3 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, rectum, lymph node, and colon.
