Anti-C4A4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the C4A4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the C4A gene, which encodes complement C4A (Rodgers blood group). This protein is known to function in inflammatory response pathways and innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of C4A4 has a canonical amino acid length of 1744 residues and a protein mass of 192.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the placenta. Other names for this target antigen include C4, C4A2, and C4A3. Western Blot is a widely used application for the C4A4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
