Anti-C-Lmod antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the C-Lmod antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LMOD2 gene, which encodes leiomodin 2. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of C-Lmod has a canonical amino acid length of 547 residues and a protein mass of 61.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the heart muscle and skeletal muscle. C-Lmod is a member of the Tropomodulin protein family.
