Anti-BN antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The BN antigen is another term for the human protein gastrin releasing peptide, encoded by the GRP gene. The protein is known to function in signal transduction pathways, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 148 residues and a mass of 16.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted. The BN protein is a member of the Bombesin/neuromedin-B/ranatensin protein family. Other alias names for BN include GRP-10 and preproGRP. These BN antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
