Anti-ADP-GK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADP-GK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADPGK gene, which encodes ADP dependent glucokinase. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of ADP-GK has a canonical amino acid length of 497 residues and a protein mass of 54.1 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include ATP-dependent glucokinase and rbBP-35. A number of ADP-GK antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
