Anti-BOCA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BOCA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MESD gene, which encodes mesoderm development LRP chaperone. This protein is known to function in protein folding and the Wnt signaling pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of BOCA has a canonical amino acid length of 234 residues and a protein mass of 26.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. BOCA is a member of the MESD protein family. Indicated applications for BOCA antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
