Anti-BNIP-H antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BNIP-H antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ATCAY gene, which encodes ATCAY kinesin light chain interacting caytaxin. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and neuronal development, among other biological roles. The human version of BNIP-H has a canonical amino acid length of 371 residues and a protein mass of 42.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell projections, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the rectum, cerebral cortex, and cerebellum.
