Anti-BACS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BACS is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 27 member 5, encoded by the SLC27A5 gene in humans. This 690-amino acid residue protein is believed to mediate the import of long-chain fatty acids (LCFA) by facilitating their transport across cell membranes. It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the liver. Other synonyms for BACS include ACSB and ACSVL6. Indicated applications for BACS antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
