Anti-B55A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target B55A is a known alias name of the protein protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit Balpha, encoded by the PPP2R2A gene in humans. This 447-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined. Other synonyms for B55A include B55ALPHA and PR52A.
