Anti-ADERM antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ADERM is a known alias name of the protein SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, containing DEAD/H box 1, encoded by the SMARCAD1 gene in humans. This 1026-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a DNA helicase that possesses intrinsic ATP-dependent nucleosome-remodeling activity and is both required for DNA repair and heterochromatin organization. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for ADERM antibodies listed below include Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunoprecipitation.
