Anti-AAT1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target AAT1 is a known alias name of the protein glutamic--pyruvic transaminase, encoded by the GPT gene in humans. This 496-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and gallbladder. Indicated applications for AAT1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
