Anti-Atx1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Atx1 is a known alias name of the protein antioxidant 1 copper chaperone, encoded by the ATOX1 gene in humans. This 68-amino acid residue protein is known to bind and deliver cytosolic copper to the copper ATPase proteins. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
