Anti-ADDL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADDL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADD3 gene, which encodes adducin 3. This protein is reported to be a membrane-cytoskeleton-associated protein that promotes the assembly of the spectrin-actin network. The human version of ADDL has a canonical amino acid length of 706 residues and a protein mass of 79.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CPSQ3 and gamma-adducin. Indicated applications for ADDL antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
