Anti-5-HT4R antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target 5-HT4R is a known alias name of the protein 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4, encoded by the HTR4 gene in humans. This 388-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in chemical synaptic transmission and GPCR signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the small intestine, rectum, duodenum, colon, and appendix. Other synonyms for 5-HT4R include 5-HT4 and 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) receptor 4, G protein-coupled. Western Blot is the most common application for the 5-HT4R antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
